VSCodium is an open source clone of Visual studio code.

Visual studio code is a great code editor, and it's definitely one of the best code editors for coders. However, when it comes to data collecting, visual studio code uses telemetry that tracks you, and uses your data to improve their product.

The thing is, telemetry is enabled by default on vscode, which means you may be sending your data without being aware.

The difference between Vscode and VSCodium is that, vscode uses telemetry for tracking, while VSCodium doesn't. Which means VSCodium won't track you and you don't have to worry about your data.
