Install SimpleScreenRecorder on Ubuntu

On newer versions of Ubuntu simplescreenrecorder can be easily installed without having to add the official ppa, so you can skip to step #3 and install SimpleScreenRecorder.

If you are using an older version of Ubuntu such as 16.04, then you will need to add the official ppa of SimpleScreenRecorder in order to install it.

Step 1 - Add SimpleScreenRecorder Repository

Before installing SimpleScreenRecorder on your machine, you need to add its repository.

This is the official repository of SimpleScreenRecorder, which allows you to download and install SimpleScreenRecorder directly from your terminal.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:maarten-baert/simplescreenrecorder

Step 2 - Activate SimpleScreenRecorder Repository

Uninstall SimpleScreenRecorder on Ubuntu

To uninstall SimpleScreenRecorder, you need to remove the simplescreenrecorder package that you installed on your system.

To do this, simply run the following

sudo apt remove simplescreenrecorder --purge
