In this tutorial, you will learn how to install Manjaro ISO on your computer.

Manjaro is an open source linux distro based in arch linux. If you are looking for a linux distro that is highly customizable and easy to use, then manjaro will be a perfect fit for your needs.

Boot into Manjaro

This is the boot menu of manjaro, in this window you need to choose if you want to boot manjaro with open source or proprietary drivers.

Open source drivers will work fine in most cases. However, this totally depends on the hardware that you use. If you use an integrated graphic card or AMD then open source drivers will do the job, if you use NVIDIA GPU then most likely proprietary drivers is what will support your gpu better. I'd also recommend you do a research first to see what kind of drivers your hardware needs so you choose the right one in this step.

Start Installation

Once manjaro boots up, double click on the installer shown in the image below to start installation

Once you execute the installer, you will see the welcome window. Now, click Next on this window

Choose your location. Simply click on the map to the location you want to use

Next, set your keyboard layout. Notice the box below that says "Type here to test keyboard", in that box you can type and test your keyboard. This is very useful because if you select the wrong layout then buttons will show a different character from what you are typing. Continue testing until all buttons show the correct character.

On this step, you need to setup partitions. Choose whether you want to earse the whole hdd and install manjaro, or create partitions manually.

Next, enter your account details, and click the Next button

Next, choose if you want any of the office suite to be installed on your computer.

For example, we went with LibreOffice. It basically has everything you need when it comes to creating documents, pdfs, notes and other office related tasks that you may need.

This is the summary window, it shows the current configuration that you have set up. Click the install button to start the installation process.

Once you click the install button, you will see the following message. Click the "Install Now" button to confirm and proceed

And the installation will begin. Now you can get yourself a cup of coffee while waiting for the setup to finish

Once the installation process has been completed, you can check the Restart box and then click the Done button to restart the system, so you can start using Manjaro.

That's it!
