In this tutorial, you will learn how to add the home directory icon on your Desktop on Linux Mint.

Home directory by default is hidden, and it won't appear on your Desktop on Linux Mint. To make this directory appear on your desktop, one first needs to enable it on the settings.

To add home directory on your desktop, is very easy, and you can do it by using GUI.

By having home directory on your Desktop, it will make it easier for you to access your files on home directory.

If you are used to have the home directory on your desktop, and you want to have the same directory on the Desktop of your Linux Mint machine, then simply follow the steps in this tutorial to do so.

1) Go to "Applications Menu" and click to the search box, then type "Settings"

2) Next, click the "System Settings" icon.

3) It will take you to the settings window as shown in the image below. Now simply go to "Desktop" settings.
